Component: Nutrient balances
Effect : This option has no consequences for nutrient budgets. Connection of inhabitants to sewage systems concentrates nutrient flows and generally leads to increasing pollution of surface water if not combined with wastewater treatment; Treatment results in a reduction of nutrient discharge.
