The mission of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world. The OECD provides a forum in which governments can work together to share experiences and seek solutions to common problems. We work with governments to understand what drives economic, social and environmental change. We measure productivity and global flows of trade and investment. We analyse and compare data to predict future trends. We set international standards on a wide range of things, from agriculture and tax to the safety of chemicals. +
Ocean carbon uptake. +
Fraction of other, not modelled crops in agricultural area, assumed constant in the future. +
Emission projections and marginal abatement costs curves based on external models, such as the IIASA land-use models or the POLES database. +

Global large-scale hydrological model +
PIK addresses crucial scientific questions in the fields of global change, climate impacts and sustainable development.
Researchers from the natural and social sciences work together to generate interdisciplinary insights and to provide society with sound information for decision making.
The main methodologies are systems and scenarios analysis, modelling, computer simulation, and data integration. +

POLES : Prospective Outlook on Long-term Energy Systems
POLES is a global energy supply, demand, prices forecasting model. Enerdata, in collaboration with LEPII (formerly IEPE - Institute of Energy Policy and Economics) and IPTS, coordinates studies on long-term energy outlooks at world level with the POLES model. The POLES model provides a valuable tool for addressing the long-term energy, technology and climate change issues. Its world dimension makes explicit the linkages between the energy demand and supply. +
How will the biodiversity in freshwater bodies develop in the absence of additional policies and measures? +
What would be the impact of global climate change in this century without additional mitigation policies and measures? +
How do energy policies contribute to economic and social development, and how do they support or hamper a more sustainable future? +
How will climate change affect the productivity of current and future agricultural areas? +
What global greenhouse gas emissions pathways would meet the well below 2 °C climate target? +
How will emissions of greenhouse gases and air pollutants develop in scenarios with and without policy interventions, such as climate policy and air pollution control? +
